Rachel Lewis

Rachel Leah Lewis, 78, of Daybrook, died Tuesday, May 5, 2018, at her residence.
She was born October 15, 1939, at Daybrook, a daughter of the late Stacey Chisler and Ethel Moore Chisler.
Rachel was a retired custodian for the Monongalia County Board of Education.  She was affiliated with the Daybrook Methodist Church.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, going to the casino, reading, going shopping, and eating out.  She especially enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and the time she spent with them.
Surviving are her two daughters and their spouses, Carla and Kevin Brewer and Crystal and Johnny “Buck” Hamilton, all of Daybrook; 11 grandchildren, Stephanie, John, Tabitha, Zach, Katy, P. J., Chrystina, Ryan, Cliff, Kayla and Logan; eight great-grandchildren, Tyler, Tanner, Tucker, Madyson, Emma, Braelynne, Everly, and  Mason and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William “Shorty” Lewis; two sons, Clifford Lewis and Rodney Lewis; two brothers, Joe Donley Chisler and Jimmy Fay Chisler and four sisters,  Dema Gump, Lena Shriver, Nona Drake, and Margaret Stewart.
Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home, in Blacksville, from 1-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m., on Friday, June 8.   Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11 a.m., on Saturday, with the Rev. Freddie Eddy, II officiating.  Interment will follow in the Daybrook Cemetery.
