James Lee “Jim” Lemasters


James Lee “Jim” Lemasters, 70, of Westover, passed away at Mapleshire Nursing and Rehab Center on Saturday, May 19, 2018.
He was born in Morgantown on July 16, 1947, to the late Mary Lemasters Sargent.
Jim was an Army veteran who served his country in the Vietnam War. Following his military service, Jim was a coal miner for Consol Energy and later worked and retired from West Virginia University as a custodian. He was a member of Westover VFW 9916. He loved the beach and spending time with his family.
Jim is survived by his wife of 49 years, Kathy Frazier Lemasters; daughters, Beth A. Hall and Jody Lynn Lemasters, both of Westover; granddaughter, Kelsey Hall; great-granddaughter, Jessie Hartley; and his stepbrother, James Sargent; several nieces and nephews; and her sister-in-law, Glenna Cutlip and her husband, Charles.
In addition to his mother, Jim was preceded in death by his brothers, Joseph Lamottie and Jackie Lemasters.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made in Jim’s memory to Wounded Warrior Project at P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675-8517.
Friends may call at McCulla Funeral Home from 4 p.m. Tuesday, May 22, until the 7 p.m. funeral service.
Military honors will be conferred by Westover VFW 9916 and WVANG Military Funeral Honors, Camp Dawson.
Following the service, McCulla Funeral Home will provide cremation services.
