M.T. Pockets presents ‘On Golden Pond’

MORGANTOWN — M.T. Pockets Theatre will present Tom Milne and Charlotte Haas in the classic, “On Golden Pond,” written by Ernest Thompson and directed by Christian Cox. The production will run at 8 p.m. May 17-19 and 2 p.m. May 20.

Lovable curmudgeon Norman Thayer is as tart-tongued as ever. His spirited wife, Ethel, delights in all the small things that have enriched their lives. Together, they are returning to their lakeside home on Golden Pond for the 48th year, where they enjoy fishing and watching for loons.
This year they are visited by their divorced daughter, her uptight fiancé and his rebellious teenage son. When Norman develops an unlikely friendship with the boy, it reinvigorates the grumpy retired professor and highlights the rocky relationship between this father and his now middle-aged daughter.

“On Golden Pond” is a story about revisiting the past and forging new bonds across generations.

In addition to Milne and Haas as Norman and Ethel, the M.T. Pockets’ production features Angela Kauffman as the couple’s daughter Chelesa, Harrison Case as her fiance Billy Ray, Dominic Secreto as Billy Ray’s teenage son Billy Ray Jr. and Jonathan Lazzell as Charlie Martin a local resident.

Tickets are $15 for adults, $13 for seniors/military, $10 for students and $7 for children. Tickets are available online at mtpocketstheatre.com. Reservations can be made by calling 304-284-0049 and leaving a message.
