Mon Sheriff’s Department obtains warrants in connection to homicide

MORAGNTOWN — Law enforcement obtained warrants for two people in connection with the murder of Timothy Pahl.

Glenn Weaver

The Monongalia County Sheriff’s Department said it has obtained warrants for Glenn R. Weaver Jr., 25, of Morgantown, for felony conspiracy, accessory after the fact, daytime burglary and grand larceny.

Elizabeth Hartley, 34, of Grafton, has a warrant out for accessory after the fact.

The accessory charges are for aid provided to Elizabeth Chinn, 32, of South Point, Ohio. Chinn was charged with first-degree murder for the April 22 shooting death of Pahl in his Old Stewartstown Road home.

The release stated that Pahl confronted Chinn while she was burglarizing his home, and then she shot and killed him.

Weaver and Chinn conspired to return to his home to steal items, and Weaver was also involved in stealing Pahl’s 2017 GMC Sierra, from which he removed the On-Star and  painted the vehicle a different color, in order to avoid arrest, the release claims.

All three are being held in the Luzerne County Jail, Pennsylvania, while awaiting extradition.

Moriah Lari Weaver, 42, of Fairmont, was arrested with the three, but Palmer previously told The Dominion Post she is not being charged. She is facing charges for several crimes, including felony conspiracy and possession with intent, in Pennsylvania.

Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) arrested Chinn, the Weavers and Hartley on April 25 at the Mohegan Sun Casino in Plains Township, Pa.

Law enforcement found several items from Pahl’s home, including credit cards, his truck, firearms and other documents in the hotel room where the four were arrested, according to an affidavit of probable cause by the PSP.
