High Street Jazz Band plays in Kingwood

MORGANTOWN — Those who love Dixieland music, the type you hear in New Orleans, may want to watch the High Street Jazz Band perform at 7 p.m. Friday in the Preston Community Arts Center, at 123 South Price St. in Kingwood.
The show will kick off their 2018 spring tour before playing at locations around West Virginia and in neighboring states at schools and other venues. The High Street Jazz Band is comprised of current and past WVU students.
Band members include Kingwood native Larry Schwab, trumpet; Adam Richardson, drums; Al Hall, steel drums; Alex Higgins, trumpet and vocals; Audrey Haller, tuba; Joel Steadman, baritone and band manager; Kurt Tennant, banjo; Lauren Breiteil, trombone; Logan Neccuzi, trumpet; P.J. Kase, trombone; Penny De La Cruz, clarinet; Tania Kinsel, saxophone; William Colbert, tuba; and Zane Gray, trombone.
A $5 suggested donation is requested at the door, which benefits Preston Community Arts Center. Food and drinks are available next door at Brew Ha Ha.
