Preston After School Explorers will host two painting parties

KINGWOOD — Preston County After School Explorers is teaming with iPaint Parties for two parties of painting fun.
They will host a “WVU Mascot Dog” theme party from 2-4:30 p.m. Sunday. The cost is $30 per person.
They will also host a iPaint party from 6-8:30 p.m. Tuesday. The cost is $40 per person.
Both iPaint Parties will be at the Hopewell Church in Bruceton Mills. Participants must register online at ipaintpartiers.com. No painting experience is necessary. Refreshments will also be available for purchase.

Spaghetti dinner today at Stewartstown building
The Stewartstown Community Building will host a Spaghetti Dinner from 4-7 p.m. today. Guests can dine-in or carry out.

Choice of meat or marinara sauce and pasta, with coleslaw, fresh roll and dessert will be served. Recommended donation of $7 per meal.

Mountain Heights hosts turkey dinner Saturday
There will be a fundraising dinner from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday at Mountain Heights Community Building, 1683 Summers School Road, Morgantown. It raises money for the upkeep and maintenance of the Mountain Heights Summers Cemetery.
Menu includes a turkey dinner with mashed potatoes, two sides, a roll and dessert. It costs $10. The children’s menu includes a hot dog and nachos and costs $5.
There will also be strip tickets, an auction and more.

Kids Kingdom plans Star Wars fundraiser
A Star Wars Day fundraiser to benefit Make-A-Wish will be held from 5-8 p.m. today at Kids Kingdom.

Admission will be $10 per child which includes unlimited open play and a chance for a meet-n-greet and pictures with the Star Wars characters from the Rebel Legion, 501st Legion, Mandalorian Mercs and also some superheroes.

They will donate 50 percent of all admission, 10 percent of all Melissa & Doug toy sales, 10 percent of all arcade sales, 20 percent of all Fairy Dust activity station sales and 100 percent of all cash donations to Make-A-Wish. The goal is to raise $4,400.
Community yard sale set for Arthurdale

ARTHURDALE — There will be a community yard sale in Arthurdale on Saturday. Free maps with a list of sellers will be available at the Arthurdale Heritage office along W.Va. 92 in Preston County.
Author Nancy Abrams to sign books on Sunday
REEDSVILLE — Nancy Abrams will be at Modern Homestead for a book discussion and signing of her new book, “The Climb from Salt Lick” at 4 p.m. Sunday. Light refreshments will be served.
