United Nations needs to become beacon of hope

Delmar Hagedorn Jr., Morgantown
The bombings in Syria were supposedly initiated by President Trump to end Damascus’ ability to produce chemical weapons.
People were killed who had no choice but to do what the dictators Bashar Assad and Vladimir Putin require. Trump did what Assad and Putin would do without remorse and helped to actually destroy evidence of the crimes.

The proper and most humanitarian thing to do is kill the dictators responsible for deploying chemical weapons, nerve gas, etc. on their people.

Trump’s rejection of immigrants to America also aids Putin’s military efforts to push immigrants into free European countries to disgruntle their citizenry and weaken governments there. The refusal of Trump to issue further sanctions against Russia points to knowing what he did is not affecting his preferred dictatorial buddy over the people he killed.

The United Nations needs to assert itself as a beacon of hope for peoples of the world by enacting and enforcing an edict to remove/assassinate any dictator who deliberately, inhumanely abuses his people via chemical weapons. One person or regime should not have immunity for existence while destroying the well-being and lives of so many innocent people.

In concurrence, Trump’s GOP appears to be solidifying its control of America. When Trump stands up to honor the armed forces, then try to cast blame on taxpayers and Democrats for inadequacies they’re trying to credit their administration while subliminally suggesting to the armed forces to remain loyal to the Trump GOP agenda.
They do the same by seeking to discredit media coverage not in their favor. This poses a danger to the average American and our constitutional rights and liberty.

The armed forces must remain loyal to the rights and liberties of the American people and not the offhand whims of the political party in control. Especially a party that evidently worships the leaders of dictatorial regimes.
