Lana Clarkson

Lana Beth Clarkson, 76, of Fellowsville,  passed away on Monday, April 23, 2018, at her residence.
She was born on April 24, 1941, in Fellowsville, daughter of the late Robert Oran and G. Marie Matlick Hamilton.

Lana graduated from Fellowsville High School and attended Potomac State College. She worked for Sterling Faucet.
Lana was a member of the Sandy Pal’s 4-H Club and was inducted into the 4-H All-Stars in 1987 and was a club leader for 38 years. She helped with crafts at the Preston County 4-H Summer Camps and  was a member of the Sandy Creek CEOS for 23 years. Lana was a volunteer at the Fellowsville Volunteer Fire Department and was known as the gravy master. She loved quilting and crafts. Lana was also a member of the Mount Zion United Methodist Church.
Lana is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Herbert Neil Clarkson; one son, Craig Terrill Clarkson and Rhonda, of Newburg; one daughter, Deanna Rae Clarkson, of Inwood; one grandson, Elijah; one granddaughter, Adrianna; two brothers, Terry Hamilton and Betty, and Kevin Hamilton and Diane all of Fellowsville; one sister, Kathy Wolfe and Adrian of Laurel Mountain Community; one sister-in-law, Marjorie Ann Hamilton, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Lana was preceded in death by one brother, Norman Lane Hamilton.
Family and friends will be received at Bolyard Funeral Home, in Newburg, from 2-8 p.m. Wednesday,  and from 9 a.m.,  Thursday, April 26, until the 11 a.m. service  with the Rev. Jack Flint officiating. Interment will follow at the Mount Zion Cemetery.
