Arthurdale wants decorations off stones by April 15

ARTHURDALE — The Arthurdale Cemetery Association requires that all flowers and decorations not in vases or attached to stones be removed from the cemetery by April 15. The association will remove and dispose of anything remaining after that date as part of the annual cleanup.

Fairview wants flowers removed by May 1
PISGAH — The Fairview Cemetery in Preston County asks that all flowers and other items be removed from graves by May 1 so that the cemetery can be mowed.
4-H registration now open for Mon County
Monongalia County 4-H Camp registration is now available. 4-H camps are open to all youth in Monongalia County.
The early registration deadline is May 4. Spots are limited, and camps often fill quickly.
Monongalia County offers three, week-long 4-H camps in the summer, and all camps are held at Camp Muffly. Campers build life skills like leadership, communication and teamwork while taking part in recreation, classes and campfire programs.

Energy Express program applications now open

Applications are being accepted for the Energy  Express program in Monongalia County.
This free, six week, half-day program is for youth currently in kindergarten- 5th grade. This summer, the program will be held at Mylan Park, Skyview and Mason Dixon Elementary Schools, from June 18-July 27.
The priority deadline is May 4, spots are limited and child participants are selected based on a variety of criteria. Participants take part in art, drama and writing activities related to literacy education, as well as receive breakfast and lunch daily.
