League of Women Voters and Mountaineers for Progress to conduct non-partisan forums

MORGANTOWN – The League of Women Voters is partnering with Mountaineers for Progress to do three non-partisan forums.

On April 12, there will be two sessions — one for Mon County Commission candidates and one for Board of Education candidates. The forum will be held in White Hall on the Downtown Campus of WVU. Doors will open at 6 p.m., with the forum staring at 6:30 p.m. There will be an usher to direct attendees to the meeting room.

On April 19, the forum will present candidates for the WV House of Delegates from the 51st district. It will be held at the Plumbers and Pipefitters Hall, 100 Richard Drive (near Mountainview Elementary School). Doors will open at 6 p.m.

On April 26, the forum will present candidates for the U.S. House 1st Congressional District. This will be held in White Hall in the same meeting room as the April 12 forum. Doors will open at 6 p.m.

All forums will be moderated, and attendees will be invited to present their questions in writing. Due to time constraints, it may not be possible to present every question, but there will be time after each forum to socialize and speak directly with the candidates.
