Tunnelton man arrested again on drug charge

KINGWOOD — A Tunnelton man has been arrested for the second time in less than a week after being found again unconscious in a truck with suspected drugs.
On Thursday, David Allen Bennett, 47, was found unconscious in a truck at the Masontown Circle K parking lot.
In a criminal complaint, Preston Deputy First Class W.T. McNair said a glass pipe, a pill bottle containing Buprenorphin and a suspected meth crystal weighing 11.64 grams (0.41 ounces) were among the items found in the truck. Bennett was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. Bond was set at $100,000.
On March 16, Deputy W.E. Crawford said in a criminal complaint, Bennett was found unconscious in a truck in a parking lot at U.S. 50 and W.Va. 92. Suspected meth, a smoking device, a funnel and scales were found in that incident. Bennett was charged with possession of a controlled substance, no proof of insurance, fictitious inspection sticker and driving on suspended or revoked license then and released on $5,000 bond.
