Morgantown man charged in Maryland road rage incident

OAKLAND, MD. — A Morgantown man has been charged in Maryland after police say he was involved in a road rage incident involving a firearm.
According to a Garrett County (Md.) Sheriff’s Department news release, Seth William Coker, 24, is charged with two counts of second-degree assault, reckless endangerment, possession of more than 10 grams of marijuana and transporting a handgun in a vehicle.
Police say in the release about 7 p.m. March 21 they responded to a 911 call on Foster Road. Their investigation revealed that Coker’s 2016 Dodge pickup hit another vehicle on Garrett Highway. According to police, Coker followed the victim home to Foster Road and yelled, cursed, got out of his truck and pointed a handgun at the driver, who went inside and called 911.
Deputies stopped Coker on Garrett Highway. A search of the truck turned up a Glock 9 mm handgun and magazine with ammunition, marijuana and drug paraphernalia, police said. He was taken to the Garrett County Detention Center.
Oakland Police assisted in the investigation.
