Mohigan Idol raises money for the WVU Children’s Hospital

 

Mohigan Idol, a talent show sponsored by the Morgantown High School Student Council, raised $22,785 Saturday night for WVU Medicine Children’s.

The competition, which was held at the Metropolitan Theatre, in downtown Morgantown, featured students of all grade levels throughout Monongalia County.

The winners of Mohigan Idol were:

Elementary schoolFirst place: Rainbow Cottrell, Eastwood Elementary.

Second Place: Lil’ Sparks Dance Hip Hop Dance Group, Suncrest/Mylan Park/Cheat Lake, Mason-Dixon/Mountainview/Brookhaven elementary schools.

Third Place: Braylie Mills, Eastwood Elementary.

Middle schoolFirst Place: Margaret Deely, St. Francis Middle School.

Second Place: Morgantown Sound Community Show Choir, South/Suncrest/Westwood/Mountaineer/St. Francis middle schools.

Third Place: Owen Gerdes, Suncrest Middle School.

High schoolFirst Place: Abi Furman and Emma Fuller, Morgantown High.

Second Place: Small Time Rush Band, Morgantown High School.

Third Place: Acafellas All-Boys’ Acapella Singing/Show Choir Group, Morgantown High.
