Boys’ basketball: Preston 48, Buckhannon-Upshur 46

BUCKHANNON — The Preston boys’ basketball team won a back-and-forth game against Buckhannon-Upshur on Dec. 26, 48-46, thanks in large part to their bigs inside.

Center Hayden Park had 15 points to lead the Knights (2-5), while forward Jake Livengood added 12.

“Our inside game was the difference tonight,” head coach Paul Koontz said. “Corey Piles had eight assists from the wing to the inside. The key element was being able to control the boards and get inside.”

PHS will play at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 27, at Tucker County.
