Community Fills High Street for Fourth of July Parade

MORGANTOWN — Red, white and blue filled High Street as the Morgantown community celebrated Independence Day with the return of the city’s Fourth of July parade Saturday afternoon.

Despite temperatures climbing into the 90s, families lined the sidewalks to cheer on dozens of parade participants, including local organizations, elected officials, veterans, first responders, cyclists, community groups and youth organizations.

Following the parade, festivities continued at the Ruby Amphitheater with live music, family activities, food vendors and an evening fireworks display, capping off a day of patriotic celebration in downtown Morgantown for America 250.
