Crowds protest Floyd killing

In cities across the nation, thousands continue to protest the police killing in Minneapolis of George Floyd.

Floyd, an unarmed 46-year-old black man, died Monday after a white police officer pressed down on his neck for more than eight minutes. He was recorded on video pleading for air as the officer, Derek Chauvin, kneeled on his neck.

Chauvin, 44, was arrested late Friday morning and charged with third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter. Floyd was detained on suspicion of passing a counterfeit bill. For more information on Floyd’s death.
