Carole Barbara Vargo Kolar, 86, of Uniontown, Pa., passed away Friday, January 2, 2026, peacefully in her home. Born November 8, 1939 in Bobtown, she was a daughter of the late Gady and Ann Rennich Varga.
She was the beloved wife of the late John Kolar; loving mother of Barry (Maria) Kolar of Morgantown, Lora Puskar and late husband Richard of Monongahela, Pa., Chris Kolar of Uniontown, and Kevin (Lucy) Kolar of Wake Forest, N.C.; her grandchildren, Michael (Elle) Puskar, Victoria Kolar, Jacob (Sarah) Kolar, Elizabeth Kolar, Rachel Kolar, John (Lide) Kolar, and Sophia Kolar; her sisters, Loretta Vargo, Gloria (Joseph) Hatalla, and Rita (Bernard) Imrich.
Visitation in the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, 603 N. Gallatin Avenue Ext., Uniontown, Wednesday, January 7, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Visitation continues Thursday, January 8, with Prayers of Transfer at 9:15 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph Church, 180 Old Walnut Hill Road, Uniontown. Interment will follow at Mt. St. Macrina Cemetery.
The family would like to express its heartfelt gratitude to Carole’s caregivers: Ann, Margie, Nancy, Patti and Paula, for their steadfast devotion in caring for her. They were her angels on earth. A special thank you is extended to Bob Mangold, Mark and Gerry Hasson, Joyce Puskar, and Darla Swenglish, who was like a second daughter, for preparing the many meals for Carole over the last several years.
