Judith Carol Dunn-Plush

Judith Carol Dunn-Plush, a cherished member of the Morgantown community, passed away peacefully Saturday, December 13, 2025, in the Morgantown Healthcare Center. Born August 10, 1940, in Morgantown, Judy’s life was marked by both personal and professional accomplishments that left an indelible impact on those who knew her.
Judy dedicated many years of her career as a receptionist for the Brookings Institute. Her commitment to her role and her genuine warmth made her a beloved figure among her colleagues and the many individuals she greeted with a smile. Judith’s ability to create a welcoming environment extended beyond her professional life, as she was known for her kindness and friendliness within her community.
She is survived by her loving sisters, Rita Townes and JoAnn Smith, both of Morgantown. Judith also leaves behind numerous special nieces and nephews who held a special place in her heart. The bond she shared with her family will forever be remembered and cherished.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Sheridan and Bessie Menear Dunn; sisters, Norma Squires, Betty Peters, and Gay Rude; brothers, Sheridan Dunn, Jr., Earl Dunn, Eugene Dunn, and Elmer and James Dunn. Their love, guidance, and support shaped the remarkable person Judith became.
As we remember Judith Dunn-Plush, we honor her life, a life characterized by dedication to her work, love for her family, and a spirit that brightened the lives of so many. She will be profoundly missed, but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Graveside services at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens are pending and will be announced at a later date. Fred Jenkins Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
