Born March 21, 1943, in the same town she would call home for her entire life, Barbara’s journey was one marked by devotion to her family, a passion for creativity, and a career that touched many.
Barbara was a cherished daughter of the late Arthur and Reta Bibey Miller. She grew up alongside her siblings, Patricia Miller Dadich (James), Marshall Miller (Diana), and Richard Miller, who all preceded her in death. Her life was a tapestry of familial bonds, woven with love and shared experiences.
In her youth, Barbara met and married the love of her life, Joseph Miker, Jr. Together, they built a life filled with joy and welcomed their beloved children, Joseph Miker, III (Billie Jo), and Janice Ann Miker Golden (Mark). Barbara’s role as a mother was one she treasured deeply, and it was a role that only expanded with the arrival of her grandchildren, Maleea Miker Tice (Chris), Marlee Miker, Maggie Miker, Joseph Miker, IV, Mark Golden, Jr. (Hannah), Marissa Golden Taddie (Andrew), and her nine great- grandchildren. Remaining to honor her memory, her brother, William Miller (Loretta); and sister, Sandra Cuddy (fiance Bill); and also many nieces and nephews.
Barbara’s professional life was characterized by her unwavering work ethic and amiable nature. She spent many years serving the community at Shop n Save grocery store before becoming a LabTech at Kendle International Inc., from which she retired. Her colleagues remember her as a reliable and warm-hearted individual who brought a sense of family to the workplace.
Outside of work, Barbara found solace and joy in ceramics, crocheting, cooking, and baking. Her hands were rarely still, as she was always creating something beautiful or delicious for her family and friends.
Her greatest love, however, was for her grandbabies and great- grandbabies. Each one held a special place in her heart, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
