Chestnut Ridge Church giving 200 meals to families in need

Chestnut Ridge Church is giving away 200 Christmas dinner kits to families in need this holiday season. Over the past few weeks, anyone in need has been invited to reserve a meal kit for their family by completing an online form. Every meal has been reserved.

Each box contains a ham, a 5-pound bag of potatoes, a box of stuffing, two jars of gravy, two cans of corn, two cans of green beans, rolls, butter, cranberry sauce, a pie, whipped cream, peanut butter, jelly and bread. Families will get to prepare the meals at their homes and enjoy dinner together at Christmas.

Families that reserved a Christmas dinner will pick them up between 10 a.m.-noon Saturday at Chestnut Ridge Church.

Pick up will be drive-thru style, and recipients will remain in their vehicles as volunteers place the boxes inside the vehicles.

More information on the Christmas dinner giveaway can be found at theridge.church/meal.
