Gregory Scott Shultz, 50, of Cassville, passed away Saturday, June 27, 2026, in UPMC Hospital, surrounded by his family.
Greg was born in Morgantown April 9, 1976, a son to Joseph Shultz, Sr., of Morgantown, and the late Linda Shultz.
Greg was a lifelong mechanic who took pride in his work and had little patience for working on “junk.”
Above all, he cherished the time he spent with Dani, as well as making memories with his family and friends. He enjoyed camping with his good friend, Bill Tennant, and could often be found hunting, fishing, picking mushrooms and ramps, or heading out for an afternoon of mudding in his beloved “Mountain Goat” alongside his brother, Tracy.
Greg is survived by his little cupcake, Danika Shultz of Morgantown; his father, Joseph H. Shultz of Cassville; two brothers, Joe Shultz, Jr. (Carolyn) of Grafton, and Tracy Shultz (Karen) of Cassville; one sister, Kelli Stuart (Roy) of Cassville; and several nieces, nephews, great- nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many close friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Linda Shultz; and his paternal and maternal grandparents.
Friends and family will gather Thursday, July 2, in the Fred L Jenkins Funeral Home, 10 S. High Street, Morgantown, WV 26501, from 4 to 8 p.m., and again Friday, July 3, from 9 until the time of services at 10 a.m., with Pastor Jeff Huggins officiating. Cremation will follow.
