Harold J. McDaniel

Harold J. McDaniel, 83, of Willis, Texas, passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2026.
Born in Fellowsville, to Harold Vance and Sara Martha Bolyard McDaniel, Harold lived a life grounded in faith, service, and love for family. He proudly served in the United States Army, graduated from West Virginia University, and enjoyed a successful career in retail management.
Harold was known for his kind heart, welcoming spirit, and unwavering faith in Jesus Christ. He was deeply committed to prison ministry and found great joy in sharing his faith and helping others. He also enjoyed traveling, gardening, and spending time with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his siblings, Carole Prince and Gary McDaniel; son, Brian McDaniel; grandson, Thomas Davis.
Harold is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Kathryn Inscore McDaniel; daughters, Shasta (Kevin) Onarecker and Sheila (Chance) Davis; grandchildren, Erin Onarecker (Jay) Nee, Ethan Onarecker, and Joshua Davis; and great-granddaughter, Amelia Davis.
Harold will be remembered for his faith, kindness, generosity, and the love he shared with all who knew him.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date in West Virginia.
