Ray F. Johnson, Jr., 61, of Dilliner, Pa., passed away unexpectedly Friday, April 3, 2026. Born June 23, 1964 in Morgantown, he was the firstborn son of Velma Hixenbaugh Johnson and Ray Johnson, Sr. of Lake Lynn, Pa.
A 1982 graduate of Albert Gallatin High School, Ray was currently employed as a warehouse technician at Iron Synergy at Kirby, Pa. He had formerly worked as an inventory specialist with Mylan Pharmaceuticals, and as the meat department manager at Super K-Mart in Morgantown.
Ray was an avid outdoorsman, and loved fishing and hunting in various places across the area. He spent countless days hunting at the farm with his cousins, Grant, Mark and Billy. He loved the thrill of racing, and raced numerous classes of cars on the oval dirt track in his younger years, driving car #96.
Ray loved animals, especially his dogs, and coming home from work getting puppy kisses and snuggles. Ray never met a stranger and will be remembered by so many for his infectious and booming laugh and easy smile. He would do anything to help someone in need.
In addition to his parents, the loss of our beloved Ray is deeply felt by his loving wife of 18 years, Darlene Singleton Johnson and her daughter, Shannon (Lee) Blair; a brother, Eric (Renee) Johnson; sister, Stacy Duranko; niece, Kaitlyn Duranko; and nephews, Eric Johnson, Jr. and Joshua Skonezny; along with his aunt, Bonnie Bowers; and many other relatives and friends.
Friends will be received in the Richard R. Herod Funeral Home, Point Marion, Wednesday, April 8, from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will begin at 7 p.m. in the funeral home, with Rick Schimansky officiating.
Ray’s life was defined by love, family friends, faith and laughter. He will be forever missed, never forgotten.
