Arthur Lynn Bennett

Arthur Lynn Bennett, 72, of Dilliner, went home to be with his Lord Wednesday, March 4, 2026. Born in Waynesburg January 4, 1954, he was a son of the late Arthur L. Bennett and Thoma Morley Bennett.
Surviving are his four brothers, Barry K. Bennett and wife Linda, John W. Stemple and wife Karla, Frank Arthur Bennett, and Brian S. Bennett and wife Jennifer; his stepmother, Diana Bennett; and several nieces and nephews. He was loved by all who knew him, and will be dearly missed.
Lynn was a member of the Mapletown Methodist Church and the Mount Morris Lions Club. When either group had any kind of activity, Lynn was always there wanting to help.
He graduated in 1977 from Mapletown High School, and went from there to a vocational school in Johnstown. Lynn worked for a short time at the Morgantown Giant Eagle on the Greenbag Road, and then went to work for West Virginia University, where he was materials handler for 45 years until his retirement in April of 2024. After retirement, he started working as a Walmart greeter at the University Town Center in 2025.
His family will receive friends in the Richard R. Herod Funeral Home, Point Marion, Sunday, March 8, from 3 to 7 p.m., and again Monday, March 9, from 10 until the 11 a.m. hour of services, with Pastor Lanfer Simpson officiating. Interment follows in Fairview Cemetery, Taylortown.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be offered to the Mapletown Methodist Church, 926 Mapletown Road, Greensboro, PA 15338.
