Clifford Ray Thewlis

Clifford Ray Thewlis, 68, of Maidsville, passed away Wednesday, February 4, 2026. He was born January 28, 1958 in Morgantown, a son of the late Robert and Catherine Fisher Thewlis.
He was a graduate of Morgantown High School and worked as a vehicle mechanic all of his life.
He is survived by his brother, Robert (Elizabeth) Thewlis; nephews, Eric (Tracy) Thewlis and Charles (Emily) Thewlis; great-nieces, Lilly, Zoey, Hazel and Haley Thewlis; great-nephew, Alex Thewlis; his close friend, Lyle Matthews; and his special dog, Honey.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are requsted to a charity of one’s choice.
Friends and family will be received in Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce Street, Morgantown, Wednesday, February 11, from 11 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1 p.m., with Pastor Stacy Chrise-Tritt officiating. Interment will take place at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
