Donald Duane Longfellow, Jr.

Donald Duane Longfellow, Jr. passed away Monday, February 2, 2026, peacefully in his home in the company of his beloved son, in his hometown of Morgantown.
He was born November 7, 1949, to Donald Duane Longfellow and Lois Garletts Longfellow.
He was preceded in death by his younger brother, Michael David Longfellow.
Donald was an active member of this community, serving the U.A. Local Union #152 in multiple capacities throughout his lifetime. He also served as an Emergency Medical Technician, and in other roles with the American Heart Association, Monongalia County Democratic Party, Kiwanis International, Key Club, Masons, Special Olympics, Bo-Park, Boy Scouts, and the Preston County Labor Federation.
Donald will be remembered for his service to his community and friends, love of music, unwavering support of his family, and being an amiable and good-natured presence to all who knew him.
Donald is survived by his son, David Michael and wife Christine Foust and their children, Zellia Catherine and Vox Alexander Longfellow; his devoted younger sister, Janet Blaker, her daughter Gretchen Composky and grandchildren, Taylor and Emily Silver; his older sister, Patricia Olajide, her children Leighanne Braham and James Springer and Christina Springer.
Donald leaves us to join the love of his life, his wife, Patricia Staggs Longfellow, in the hereafter, and will live on in memory with us here for his steadfastness, service, and love of his family.
Friends and family will be received in Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce Street, Morgantown, from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12 noon Friday, February 6, with Pastor Craig Falkenstine officiating. Interment will take place at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens in Westover.
