Dorothy Daley Parli

Dorothy Daley Parli, 71, entered eternal life Tuesday, January 21, 2025.
She was born April 13, 1953, in Centralia, Ill., to Zanelle and Dorothy Daley.
She spent her early years in Columbia, S.C., with her two brothers, William and Clifford Daley, where she graduated from Dreher High School and the University of South Carolina obtaining a B.S. degree in Psychology and a minor in Education. She then attended Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Ky., where she obtained a Master’s Degree in Religious Education and met her husband, Marvin, whom she married December 30, 1977.
From 1982 to 1985, she was the Newton County Welfare Director in Newton County, Ind. Later, she obtained a Multi-Subject Teaching Certification from Davis and Elkins College in 1999 and taught in Randolph County Schools for 20 years. She spent her final years with family in Morgantown.
She is survived by her husband, Marvin Parli; two sons, Jonathan and Sean Parli; and her brother, Clifford Daley.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, February 8, in the Sabraton Hill Baptist Church, 1641 Sabraton Avenue, Morgantown.
