79th Annual WVU Mountaineer Week Arts & Craft Fair and Quilt Show Nov. 13-15 | WVU Mountainlair and Elizabeth Moore Hall | Free admission

Celebrate Appalachian heritage and craftsmanship during West Virginia University’s 79th annual Mountaineer Week. Two signature attractions are the Arts and Crafts Fair and Quilt Show, both offering opportunities to appreciate the talent and traditions of our region.

The juried Arts and Crafts Fair, located on the second floor of the Mountainlair, features Appalachian artisans showcasing handmade pottery, jewelry, woodworking, photography, textiles, stained glass, candles and more. Just down the road, Elizabeth Moore Hall will host the Mountaineer Week Quilt Show.

Both events are open Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Whether you’re shopping for a unique handmade gift or simply appreciating the skill behind traditional crafts, this is a great opportunity to support regional makers and celebrate Appalachian creativity.

WVU Theatre Presents "As You Like It" Nov. 12-14 and Nov. 17-20 | Gladys G. Davis Theatre, WVU Canady Creative Arts Center

Enjoy a little Shakespeare this November as the WVU School of Theatre and Dance presents "As You Like It," one of the Bard’s most beloved romantic comedies. The story follows a banished duke’s daughter who disguises herself as a shepherd boy and escapes with her cousin to the Forest of Arden, where romance, mistaken identities and unexpected reunions unfold.

This production offers an opportunity to experience the talents of WVU’s student performers and creative community while enjoying a timeless theatrical classic. With multiple performance dates throughout the month, there are several opportunities to catch the show.

From handmade Appalachian crafts to world-class touring productions, November reminds us how much creativity exists in and around Morgantown.
