MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — After guiding the West Virginia baseball team to one of its best seasons in program history, Randy Mazey was named the East Regional Coach of the Year by the American Baseball Coaches Association on Tuesday.
The accolade is the second in three seasons for Mazey, who also earned the ABCA honor in 2017. Mazey also was named the Big 12 Coach of the Year this season, the first coach in program history.
