Mountain Line to hold service elimination public hearings

Service on Routes 14 Mountain Heights and 15 Grafton Road will be eliminated beginning Jan. 15, 2024.

Service is now being provided by the RideMon service.

Mountain Line’s Micro Transit service called RideMon is available to the residents in the areas of Routes 14 and 15. Riders within the zone are able to request a trip by using the RideMon Mobile App from 7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday. An accessible vehicle will pick them up from their requested location and will connect the rider to one of three locations with high frequency service.

These three locations are Sabraton Goodwill, Mountaineer Mall and Hornbeck Walmart. The fare for each one-way trip will remain 75 cents per ride, per passenger. Rider passes may be applied but require contacting Mountian Line directly.

The transportation authority is asking residents to reach out regarding any challenges this route elimination may cause or any barriers they may have to the RideMon service.

Residents can reach out in the following ways:

  • Public hearings will be held at the Mountain Line Administrative Office, 420 DuPont Road, Westover, at noon today, noon and 1:30 p.m. Nov. 15 and noon Dec. 20.
  • Online Public Comment Form is available at: busride.org/rt-14-and-15-service-elimination
  • Call the mobility coordinator at 304-296-3869 with questions or for training on the RideMon service.
