Morgantown Utility Board (MUB) issued a precautionary boil water advisory for Monday, April 24 for customers at 11-24 Cottage St., 24-32 North St., 29-31 Morrison St., 11-59 East St., 24-82 West Park Ave., 10-22 Harvey St., 44-84 Colorado Ave., 114-150 Holland Ave., and 4 West High St.

The advisory is a result of a planned service outage to perform a water main tie-in in the area. Once service is restored, affected customers should boil their water before consumption until the boil water advisory is lifted. Customers are advised to bring all water to a boil, let it boil for one minute, and let it cool before using, or use bottled water.

Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, and food preparation until this advisory is lifted. When the system recovers, MUB will be collecting additional water quality samples in the area of the outage, which require a minimum of 24 hours for analysis.
