Morgantown Post 2 fell to Bridgeport, 5-2, Friday night for the second time this week, and with it came Post 68 taking the Area 2 title.

Both teams opened the game with a single run in the first, but Bridgeport maintained a slim lead after the second inning at 3-1, thanks to two runs in their half.

A quiet third was followed with Post 68 adding to their lead, as Xavier Lopez scored on error and Aiden Paulsen’s sac fly put in Frank Why from third.

Both teams played exceptional defense the rest of the game — good for Bridgeport to claim the Area in regulation.
