BlaineTurner Advertising celebrates 35 years in business

MORGANTOWN — BlaineTurner Advertising, a full-service marketing and public relations firm, is celebrating 35 years in business.

The Morgantown-based agency opened in January of 1986 and has grown from a one-woman office to a team of 11 full-time staff.

The company is owned by Ginna and Delbert Royce, alongside Sarah Rogers.

CEO and Creative Director Ginna Royce has offered clients an honest approach to marketing since the opening of the agency.

About a year-and-a-half after the agency’s launch Ginna Royce’s husband Delbert Royce, current CFO and vice president, joined the team. The couple’s dedication grew the agency to its current status, welcoming new team members along the way.

One of BlaineTurner Advertising’s vital team members is Sarah Rogers, president of BTA. Rogers joined the agency in 2009 as an online marketing specialist. She transitioned to an account manager in 2012 and was later promoted to president and part-owner in 2019.

While technology and marketing channels have advanced throughout the past 35 years, the team’s process has remained consistent: Research, strategy, then create.

The agency works hand-in-hand with its client, specializing in customer engagement, acquisition, and retention through visionary planning and marketing expertise.

“We are always committed to over-delivering and wowing our clients,” said Ginna Royce. “Everybody in this company is hungry to deliver results and make a difference for our clients.”

BlaineTurner Advertising specializes in strategic communications and brand advertising for clients’ online, print, tradeshow, marketing, promotion and broadcast needs.

The company concentrates a lot in health care, but also handles manufacturing and tourism. BTA does everything from design, website design and development, digital media, social media, videography, and photography and app development.

“You name it, and we try to do it,” Rogers said. “That’s the fun part of the job, trying to figure out how we can do the things that our clients need.”

The agency also values community service and supports local initiatives.

BlaineTurner Advertising is the title sponsor for the United Hospital Center’s Pro-Am Golf Tournament. In 2020, BTA donated $25,000 to the fundraiser.

This year, the agency will donate $35,000 to United Hospital Center’s Women’s Health Center and the WVU School of Nursing.

“We’re amazed at the tremendous support we received from the community, businesses, employees, family and friends,” said Ginna Royce. “If it wasn’t for them, we wouldn’t be here.”

BlaineTurner Advertising’s commitment to going above and beyond captures the eyes of award organizations.

The agency has earned more than 71 awards, including international recognition from the Addy, Telly, Communicator, and eHealthcare Leadership Awards, statewide titles like the PRSA-WV Crystal Award, and acknowledgement from the West Virginia Governor’s Conference on Tourism.

Delbert Royce described the workplace as inclusive and like a family.

“We take our employees axe throwing and shopping, and we celebrate birthdays and different holidays,” he said. “We try to make it a family.”

BlaineTurner Advertising, 1401 Saratoga Ave., is open from 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday, but the agency makes themselves available 24/7 to phone calls.
