MORGANTOWN — Morgantown Utility Board has issued a precautionary boil water advisory for customers on Rhinewood Lane, Allamong Lane and Ebenklein Lane. The advisory is a result of a planned service outage to complete a waterline extension in that area.
Once service is restored, affected customers should boil their water before consumption until the boil water advisory is lifted. Customers are advised to bring all water to a boil, let it boil for one minute, and let it cool before using, or use bottled water. Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, and food preparation until this advisory is lifted.
When the system recovers, MUB will collect additional water quality samples in the area of the outage, which require a minimum of 24 hours for analysis.
