Preston County Commissioners certify results of June 9 primary

KINGWOOD — Preston County Commissioners certified the results of the June 9 primary Wednesday.

No one requested any recounts in the election. Final tallies showed 9,311 voters, or 47.85%, voted in the election.

Commissioners also met behind closed doors for an hour and 13 minutes to discuss “personnel.” They took no action after returning to open session.

The next commission meeting will be 9 a.m. Tuesday. It will be closed to the public because their meeting space is too small to allow social distancing for many people but can be viewed on Facebook at “Preston County Commission WV.”
