Girl Scout alumni recreate holiday Girl Scout tea to honor the late Alice Frost

For more than 20 years, Alice Frost served as a Girl Scout Leader for senior Troop 4501 and hosted an annual holiday tea in her home for alumni Girl Scouts.

Girl Scouts mainly from Troop 4501 would gather to visit, chat and catch up with Frost and other Scouts, while drinking English tea and eating cucumber sandwiches, cookies and scones.

Alice died Oct. 26, at age 84.

On Nov. 30, in honor of Frost, several alumni Girl Scouts from Troop 4501 met at the Tea Shop at Seneca Center to recreate the experience she gave them in her home and to celebrate their positive experiences with Frost as Girl Scouts.

They drank English tea, herbal tea, iced tea and hot chocolate and ate cucumber sandwiches, cookies and other treats.

Several Girl Scout alumni remember how Frost found ways to include each and every Girl Scout in travel events or special events, no matter what their need. To show their appreciation, Girl Scout alumni continued this tradition by setting up a special scholarship fund in honor of Frost.
