Wreaths Across America pays tribute to military veterans

Hundreds of veterans who have served the country are buried at the Historic Oak Grove Cemetery in Morgantown.
On Saturday, the Elizabeth Ludington Hagans-Col. John Evans Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution honored every veteran buried in that cemetery with a wreath for the 2019 holiday season.
The effort was part of the national Wreaths Across America program, which was set for Dec. 14 this year.
According to its mission, the program works to coordinate wreath-laying ceremonies at Arlington National Cemetery, as well at 1,600 other cemeteries in the U.S. and around the world. More than 5,000 wreaths were also laid on graves at West Virginia National Cemetery in Pruntytown on Saturday.
