Is it OK to superimpose Trump image on flag?

Delmar Hagedorn Jr., Morgantown
I was watching the late TV news a while ago. There was a scene where President Trump was at a “campaign” rally for himself out West. There was an American flag with his image printed or imposed upon it. Of course it upset me.
Trump complains about the NFL players taking a knee while exercising their free speech rights instead of standing to honor the flag or the anthem. Now he’s got his image on the American flag?
I think that should definitely be illegal. I’ll not pledge allegiance to any flag with his image on it, and the subliminal message it conveys that he should be honored equal to the American flag or better should be outlawed. I don’t and won’t honor a dictator.
If Donald Trump is allowed to fly an American flag with his likeness on it, then anyone in America should be able to do so with their own image on the flag as well without reprisal.
It is a shame Congress would allow Trump to disgrace the symbol of our United States of America for his own egotistic prestige and attempt to slyly impress himself into the allegiance of Americans. Is “defacing,” disgracing the American flag free speech?
