Eagle Scout teaches kids about dance and collects canned goods

Josephine Herring  worked to complete her Eagle Scout project Saturday with a free DanceFest at Artistry House, a dance studio at 135 Green Bag Road in Morgantown.  Hosted by  Herring and Jenny Lawrence, the owner of Artistry House, this free event  allowed ages 6-15 to give dance a try and learn about the physical nature of dance.  Participants were asked to take non-perishable foods, which will all be donated to Pantry Plus More.  For more information on Artistry House, go to artistryhouse.com.

The Dominion Post Advertising Department took home Best Advertisement of the Year honors at the recent West Virginia Press Association Conference, where awards were announced for the Advertising and Editorial Contest.  The Advertising staff won seven awards, including four first-place honors.
