Deborah Ann Moran was called home to be with the Lord, Friday, February 13, 2026, at Ruby Memorial Hospital, after a sudden illness. She will be remembered as a loving daughter, sister, wife, aunt and friend.
She was born May 27, 1954 in Morgantown, the oldest child of Philip and Erma Oliver Pellegrin.
Deborah graduated from Morgantown High School in 1972 and earned her BSBA, Accounting degree from West Virginia University in 1976.
She retired from WVU as a business manager.
She was a devout Christian with a sincere belief in prayer, a steadfast caregiver and an avid reader. She will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her mother; brother, Mark Pellegrin of Morgantown; sister, Donna Pellegrin; and husband, Steve Lavin; and her cherished nephew and niece, Ryan and Anna Lavin of Cincinnati, Ohio.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Rich Moran.
Cremation services have been entrusted to Hastings Funeral Home. Debby will be laid to rest at a later date beside her husband, and her father, at East Oak Grove Cemetery in Morgantown.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to Christ the King Lutheran Church, 7393 Dimmick Road, West Chester, OH 45069 for use in their Creation Care Ministry, which has been supported for years by her generosity.
