Deborah Louise McGinnis, 72, of Zephyrhills, Fla., passed away peacefully Tuesday, November 11, 2025.
Born July 5, 1953, in Morgantown, Deborah was the beloved daughter of the late James and Ruby Anderson.
Deborah was a woman of deep faith and tireless service. She was a devoted member of Spark Church in Wesley Chapel. She generously donated her time and talents to the church and the community, serving on various boards and committees. She was always seeking out ways to help others, embodying a spirit of selflessness that defined her life.
Her greatest joy was her family. Deborah was an exceptional cook, and she loved preparing meals that brought everyone together. She also found immense peace and happiness spending time at the beach, with the sand between her toes and the sound of the waves.
She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Roger McGinnis; her son, Sean (Tharon) McGinnis of Tampa, Fla.; her daughter, Melissa (Tim) Metz of Keyser; six cherished grandchildren; and two adored great-grandchildren.
Deborah was preceded in death by her mother, Ruby Anderson; her father, James Anderson; her brother, David Anderson; and her sister, Jean Knopp.
Her legacy of love, service, and devotion to family will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
No memorial service will be performed. A celebration of Deborah’s life will be planned and announced by the family at a future date.
