Patricia Rae Tennant, 94, of Mesa, Ariz., passed away peacefully in her sleep Wednesday, October 29, 2025, in Tempe, Ariz. She was born October 10, 1931, in Fairmont, to Clinton “Sparky” and M. Madeline Vincent.
Patricia was a graduate of University High School, Class of 1949, in Morgantown.
She moved to California in 1967 and worked for many years at Dooley’s hardware department store in Long Beach as a buyer. She moved to Arizona in 2001 to be closer to her son, Larry, and his family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Rose Marie Loring; first husband, John Walter Drake; second husband, William Scott Tennant; and her sons, John “Butch” Walter Drake, Jr., and Larry Ray Drake.
Surviving are her two granddaughters, Jennifer (David) Lipinski, and Shannon (Ben) Drake; her daughter-in- law, Gladys Drake; two great-granddaughters, Lauren and Danielle Lipinski; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends and family will gather in the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home from 2 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, November 11. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, November 12, at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens beginning at 10:30 a.m.
