Robert Eugene Grubb

Robert Eugene “Bob” “Grubby” Grubb, 74, of Morgantown, passed away peacefully Saturday, November 1, 2025, in Kingwood Health Care Center, surrounded by the love of family and friends. He was born June 17, 1951, in Buckhannon, a son of the late Cecil Lowell and Geneva Genevieve Hinkle Grubb.
Bob was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sheri Janelle Satterfield Grubb, September 27, 2023. Together, they shared a deep and devoted bond, filled with years of laughter, love, and cherished memories.
After graduating from high school, Bob proudly served his country in the Army Reserves before beginning a distinguished career as a West Virginia State Trooper. His strong sense of duty and integrity defined him throughout his life. He later joined Cintas, where he worked diligently for many years until his retirement.
Bob had a kind heart and a curious spirit. He loved spending time outdoors hunting, browsing flea markets, and collecting Coca-Cola memorabilia and vintage telephones. He had a special affection for animals and shared a particularly close bond with his dogs, who brought him great comfort and joy.
He is survived by his sister, Donna “Sis” Matthews and husband; his sister-in-law, Brenda Blosser; brothers-in-law, Richard Satterfield and Rodney Satterfield; and several nieces and nephews, who will remember him fondly for his warmth, humor, and gentle soul.
In addition to his parents and wife, Bob was preceded in death by one sister, Margaret Wilcher; two brothers, Larry Grubb and Donald Grubb; mother- and father-in-law, Lawrence and Harlene Satterfield; and two nephews, Tim Grubb and Donald Grubb, Jr.
