Amanda Dawn Wood, 50, passed away Tuesday, October 28, 2025 in Clarksburg. Amanda was born August 21, 1975, in Kentucky, to Henry “Hank” and Cecilia Skergan Wood. She lived in Morgantown with her mother, Cecilia Wood, until her mother’s passing in June 1991.
Amanda’s maternal grandparents were Richard and Cecilia Skergan. They lived in Morgantown until their passing.
Amanda is survived by her father, Henry “Hank” Wood; and her half-sister, Saber. She is also survived by her maternal aunts, Mary Watson of Woodbridge Va., Ruth Ann Stalnaker of Ft. Walton Beach, Fla., and Debbie Dugger of Flagler Beach, Fla.
Amanda was an artist. She enjoyed drawing, painting and carving. She also enjoyed making necklaces.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
