Bonnie J. Nine Wiles Myers, 71, passed away Friday, August 22, 2025 in Clearwater, Florida.
Bonnie was born October 4, 1953, in Oakland, Md. She was the second child of Robert L. (Bob) Nine and Geneva W. Riggs Nine of Rowlesburg.
Bonnie graduated from RHS in 1971. She earned her science degree and nurse’s training from Davis and Elkins College in Elkins, W.Va. Bonnie worked for over 40 years as an RN in various capacities and locations.
Bonnie was a breast cancer survivor. Years later she developed a rare and usually incurable blood disease. It was lengthy, painful, and destroyed her quality of life. Bonnie never gave up and fought bravely until the end.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents, Elmer and Beryl Plum Riggs and Paul and Helen “Toots” Nine; her aunt Jean (Francis) Gary; and uncles, Robert “Bob” Riggs (Joyce), and Keith Riggs (Margaret Ann).
Bonnie is survived by her daughters, Heather Wiles and Holly Goodwin; her grandchildren, Autumn and Colton; sister Susan Nine Williams (Wayne) of Terra Alta; brothers, Robert E. Nine (Gloria) and family, and Paul Ray Nine (Brenda) and family, all from the Baltimore area. She is survived by uncles Paul Riggs (Delores) of Rowlesburg, Jerry Riggs (Margie) of Saint Marys, W.Va., and Bill Riggs (now deceased), and Regina of Oakland, Md. area.
Bonnie leaves behind various nieces and nephews; grandnieces and grandnephews; cousins; and many friends.
Bonnie will always be loved, sorely missed, and never forgotten by her family, friends and colleagues.
Bonnie was cremated. A Celebration of Life gathering is being planned for spring of 2026.
