Vincent Joseph Peskar, 93, of Morgantown, passed away Monday, September 29, 2025, in Mon Health Medical Center, after a very short battle with lung cancer.
Vincent was born the son of the late Vincent Joseph Peskar, Sr. and the late Marie Zivoder Peskar June 15, 1932, in Euclid, Ohio. He was a graduate of St. Christine School and Mentor High School.
Following school, his vocation was playing rhythm guitar after many years of lessons. He played in many different groups in Cleveland, St. Louis, New York, and Canada. He taught guitar lessons at Arrowhead Studio in Mentor, Ohio. Later, he was a building contractor until retirement, and he also had a workshop, where he made many pieces of furniture, and he painted hundreds of pictures in the spirit of Bob Ross and Wilson Bickford.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Carolyn Shaffer Peskar; sons, Matthew (Susie) Peskar, Stephen (Kim) Peskar, and Dave (Wendy) Peskar; daughter, Cheryl (Neil) Peskar Dennis; grandchildren, Sarah, Ashley, Jason, Hunter, Jarrett, and McKenzie Peskar, Stephanie Johnson, Micheal Johnson, Jessica (James) Peskar Turak, Robin Peskar, Katie and Michael Peskar, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Keanu Peskar, Maria Colon, Ryan and Macsen Peskar, and Lola Pyles.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Michael Peskar, Sr.
At Vincent’s request, he will be cremated, and a Memorial Mass will be held at a later date in St. Luke Catholic Church. He will be laid to rest at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
