Carmita Ruth Sharps

Carmita Ruth Sharps, 86, of Newburg, passed away Monday, July 7, 2025, in Mon Health Preston Memorial Hospital. She was born April 23, 1939, in Fetterman, a daughter of the late John Henry and Geraldine Mae Dadisman Sharps.
Carmita attended the CEC Gospel Lighthouse Church in Birdscreek, where she loved to sing.
She enjoyed watching TV, doing puzzles and coloring.
Carmita is survived by two brothers, Jonathan D. Sharps (Clara) of Virginia, Ronald Sharps (Patricia) of South Carolina; two sisters-in-law, Linda S. King Sharps of Newburg, and Lyne Sharps of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Carmita was preceded in death by two brothers, Daniel David Sharps and Loyde Sharps.
Family and friends will be received in the Bolyard Funeral Home, 79 Morgantown Street, Newburg, from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday, July 14, and from 9 until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 15, with Pastor Robert Anderson officiating. Interment will follow at Bethel Cemetery, Scotch Hill.
