Jane Harrison

Jane Harrison, 86, of Ellicott City, Md., passed away peacefully on Jan. 6, 2023.

The daughter of the late Edward James and Marie Parnell Rodeheaver, she was born Mary Jane Rodeheaver on Jan. 4, 1937, in Hazelton.

Jane graduated from Bruceton High School and from West Virginia University in 1956, where she received a Bachelor of Music degree. She worked for many years as an instructional assistant at Bryant Woods Elementary School in Columbia, Md., before retiring in 2002.

She is survived by a daughter, Pam Perna and her husband, Mike, of Woodbine, Md.; two sons, Todd Harrison and his wife, Gina, of Fuquay Varina, N.C., and Patrick Harrison, of Portsmouth, Va.; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a sister, Shirley Friend, of Hazelton.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, Don and Dalee Rodeheaver.
In keeping with her wishes, Jane’s body was donated to science.

Those wishing to honor her life are encouraged to do so through a donation to the American Diabetes Association.

The Carl R. Spear Funeral Home, of Brandonville-Bruceton Mills, is assisting the family with these arrangements.
