Renew retreat returns next Tuesday

BY LISA ELLISON Renew, a six-week women’s holistic health event held twice a year in Morgantown, returns Tueday to Kingdom Evangelical Methodist Church, 540 Fairmont Road, Westover. The Renew retreat will host girls and women through Nov. 21, with a different speaker each week. Sessions will be 6:30-8 p.m. each Tuesday. It’s been more than five years since Speedy Ortiz released a new album, but on Sept. 1, “Rabbit Rabbit” dropped. Veterans Day Celebration will be on the Preston County courthouse lawn

KINGWOOD — Members of the Preston County Commission unanimously approved a request from the Preston County Honor Guard to use the courthouse lawn for its Veterans Day Celebration. Bill Benson, a member of both the Honor Guard and Vietnam Veterans Chapter 977, said the celebration will take place at 10:30 a.m. Nov. 11. It will include guest speakers, a traditional three-shot rifle volley, “Taps” and a prayer for all who have served, are now serving, and those who are still missing in action.
