A man was arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a woman and hitting her with a glass jar at an apartment in Morgantown. Kyle B. Rocha, 27, is charged with two counts of first-degree sexual assault, malicious wounding and strangulation. Morgantown Police officers responded to a Forest Avenue apartment for a reported sexual assault, about 11:30 p.m. Wednesday, according to a criminal complaint. Warrant issued for phone scammer

The Monongalia County Sheriff’s Department received multiple calls about a caller posing as a member of its department. Sheriff Perry Palmer considers this a scam and said the caller is not calling on behalf of him or his department. The scammer, calling from 304-306-8900, identifies himself as Lt.
